through the aisles is an exploration of the patterns, colors, spaces, and materials that make up the average hardware store. The main focus of the work is to showcase and expand upon the visuals that are created throughout the cluttered aisles of these stores. Looking deeper, it comments on significance of the ordinary and finds beauty in the seemingly mundane.

This project consists of two publications. The first is a collection of ten images made from photographs taken at several different hardware stores. Complementing these images are pages of different texture, color, and material. The goal was to imitate the different materials and colors of the products available at these stores, reflecting the environment and creating a feeling of looking through the aisles themselves. The second publication is an explanation of the concept and documentation of the process.
